Origami Platonic Solids with Variations cover image

Origami Platonic Solids with Variations (especially formatted for ereader devices) teaches you how to fold 15 origami models, created and diagrammed by origami master John Montroll. Step-by-step instructions show the folder how to make these models. Also included is some information about these polyhedra.

The Platonic Solids are incredibly beautiful shapes. You can now fold, display, and exhibit these models. The models are divided into three sections:

1. All five Platonic Solids: These are the Tetrahedron, Cube, Octahedron, Icosahedron, and Dodecahedron.

2. Five Platonic Solids with color effects: By folding from origami paper (white on one side, colored on the other) many stunning colorful patterns can be achieved.

3. All five Sunken Platonic Solids: These are the Sunken Tetrahedron, Sunken Cube, Sunken Octahedron, Sunken Icosahedron, and Sunken Dodecahedron.

The folding methods for each of these challenging models are quite different. All are original designs, using the latest in folding techniques. Each model is folded from a single square, which makes them more amazing and satisfying. Each can hold itself together by clever locking techniques. They range from simple to complex. These unique designs are masterworks.
